Who offers the lowest transaction fees, who has the best promos, etc. Thanks for your suggestions.

All major brokerage firms provide their clients with on-line services, including trading platforms, latest market & financial news and research.

Customer need to select the site that is best for them. Traders have requirements in a site, while investors have other requirements.

Although most sites are geared to general securities and commodities, however customers may have special needs for the types of products they trade, and the markets in which they trade.

It seems that the most popular firms for on-line investing all of which provide excellent platforms and services are; Scottrade; Chas.Schwab; TDAmeritrade; Fidelity; E-Trade and Thinkorswim.

I have been day trading the stock market for many years now. Watch this video and learn from my real time trading strategies. I use real time alerts and filter software. I can’t trade without them. Online day trading is a way for me to “make money at home” as a “home business”. I learned to day trade from videos, coaching, and other online courses. Live trading will help you learn more than paper trading. Psychology plays a major role in successful trading.

Best online stock trading website for small investors?

By · March 23, 2010 · Filed in best online stock trading · 3 Comments »

I am new to stock trading and want to start online. I have found numerous possible websites (E-Trade, Scott Trade, Ameritrade, etc.) but am having a difficult time sorting through all the small print to find the one that is right for me. I only plan on devoting a relatively small amount of money to this endeavor (around $10k), and don’t plan on doing a large volume of trades (maybe 10 every quarter). Does anyone have any suggestions on which is the right company for me? Thanks!

sharebuilder.com

trades are only 4 bucks if you schedule them, transfers are free, no fee to open the account, i started with 40 dollars.

What is the best online trading site?

By · March 22, 2010 · Filed in best online stock trading · 6 Comments »

What is the best or most trusted and/or cheapest online stock trading site? I mean sites like etrade or TD Amertrade.
Also easy to use.

Of the two… no question…. TD Ameritrade

Barron’s rated the on-line brokers (this past Saturday’s issue). If you think that "cheapest" is best…. then you know little about trading. You should take a 6 months to a year to learn the basics. Otherwise… the money you save in low commissions will be lost in stupid, beginner mistakes.

For new investors… I think Fidelity & Schwab are the best way to go.

The best broker…. according to Barron’s is ThinkOrSwim. They are owned by TD Ameritrade. I’ve been using them for over 5 years. I’ve used Schwab, Fidelity, Scottrade & Interactive Brokers…. none of them are as good as ThinkOrSwim. You are 2 – 10 years away from having the knowledge to use them successfully.

What is the best online platform for trading stock options?

By · March 20, 2010 · Filed in best online stock trading · 4 Comments »

I’m currently with sharebuilder because they didn’t require a minimum… I’ve since gotten heavily invested into stock trading/option trading… I don’t believe this is the best site for trading options, because I cannot find some of the quote symbols I find on other sites. Let me know.

If you want a cheaper alternative to Sharebuilder that also does not require minimums, you should check out Firstrade http://www.firstrade.com/

what is the best way to do online stock trading for a first time starter who has no knowledge of trading?

By · March 18, 2010 · Filed in best online stock trading · 3 Comments »

I am completely new starter thinking to do online trading of stocks. But due to so many misleading informations and I am just confused which one to rely on. I think this place is where people share their own experiences.

The first thing you must do before you begin to invest in stocks is to define your long term and short term goals. You will need to determine why do you want to invest in stocks and not put your money into other investmnet vehicles.

Once you have determined these factors, you must determine how much time and effort you will have to devote to your investing. There are different strategies and styles that suit different people. What works for one perston may not suit another. Some of the information you will run across on the Internet will be good and some of it will be worthless. It is up to you to develop your own investment style and objectives. Then go out and find stocks that fit your defined creiteria.

Just starting out you should read all of the information that you can about investing in stocks. There are web sites to teach the beginner how to invest in stocks. Yow will need to learn how to pick your own stocks and not rely on the advice of others. If you rely on another person’s advice you will surely lose money in the long run.

So the bottom line is to become as knowledeable as possible about stock investing. Define your investment goals and develop a plan. Then just stick to your plan.
